I’m a YouTuber and I watch my favorite creators on YouTube every day. But there are a few things about YouTube that drive me absolutely batty—especially as I try to follow the essentialist philosophy. So for all you minimalists out there, here are a few ways YOU can improve your YouTube experience!
Season 3, Episode 8
Essential Life with Jared is a vlog series all about adventure in Portland & the Pacific Northwest combined with the philosophy of essentialism. It’s about finding your own way and never walking somebody else’s path. It’s about living a creative life that’s most meaningful to you.
Look, I get it. You already subscribe to too many newsletters. So much to keep up with. But guess what? I only send out a newsletter occassionaly. It’s no big deal. It’s a great way to stay current with what I’m publishing, and newsletter recipients always get some extra insight just for them. So what are you waiting for? Let’s roll!
The official debut of my kids on Essential Life! 🥳👏 (also apologies for some of the shaky footage here and there…they were also my cinematography assistants! 😉) This is part ONE of a two-part vlog of our summer vacay up in #Seattle. We were tickled pink with our GORGEOUS hotel room and got to see many incredible sights along the way. Enjoy!
After months of staying at home and sheltering during the pandemic, I just couldn’t take it any more. I had to get out of the city and see fresh scenery and recharge. Making sure to remain socially distanced and take every precaution while traveling, I was able to drive along the gorgeous Oregon coastline and enjoy some much needed R&R. This is a mini-documentary about my journey!
I needed a break from the stress and worries of city life, so I headed to the beach…Oregon style! Cannon Beach is without a doubt one of my favorite places on the Oregon coast. If I could afford to buy a vacation home here—I probably would!
Holiday fun in the Columbia Gorge & McMinnville. Oregon is beautiful almost any time of year, but in the late fall/beginning of winter it is particularly striking. I also talk about the future of the channel and what's next in 2020!
On my last day in Seattle, I strolled across the campus of University of Washington, and oh wow was that a magical experience! Hear me geek out over the amazing architecture and dream-like walking paths, plus additional thoughts on the nearby shopping district of University Village.
